Chickenpox Vaccine Update

It is back-to-school time. Did you know a new state law went into effect on June 1, 2001, regarding the chickenpox vaccine? That law states that children ages 2 to 6 years old who are entering kindergarten, daycare, or preschool must be vaccinated against chickenpox or have documented evidence of already having had chickenpox; or have a signed parental decline of the chickenpox vaccination.

Here is a list of all the required immunizations for the 2001 to 2002 school year. If you have any questions about what shots your child needs, call his or her doctor or Dean Health Plan.
