Who Is PHCS?
PHCS is a health care cost management company founded in 1985
by several leading insurance companies. PHCS offers a variety of services including a network of hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers throughout the United States.
You can access the PHCS national provider network while traveling outside of Wisconsin for urgent or emergency services. Whether you need physician or hospital services while you are outside Wisconsin, you may realize a savings on the member portion charged to you.
You may realize savings because you will not be responsible for charges above the maximum allowable fee amount when using a PHCS provider. For further information on maximum allowable fees, please see your Member Certificate. The actual savings and member responsibility portions will vary depending on what type of benefit coverage you have through DHP. You should have received a letter from DHP in May outlining all of the details of this new service.
