BlueCard... Don't Leave Home Without It
What happens when you travel and you get sick? In an emergency, you know you have coverage. But what about other illnesses? What if your child gets a rash while you are on vacation? Or you have a reoccurrence of a chronic condition?

If your ID card includes the PPO in a suitcase logo, your health care coverage goes with you wherever you go. You are linked to a network of independent health care providers who participate in the BlueCard Program* through Blue Cross Blue Shield plans nationwide.

Your ID card with the PPO in a suitcase logo will be accepted by all BlueCard participating Blue Cross and Blue Shield providers. About 400,000 or 85 percent of all hospitals and physicians in the United States contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans. You pay the local Blue plan’s rate where you need care. At the time of service, just present your ID card. You will be responsible only for a copayment, coinsurance and/or deductible and any noncovered services you receive. There are no claim forms to file and no billing issues to resolve. It’s that simple.

A World of Choices
Because the Blue Cross Blue Shield name is known throughout the world, your card also entitles you to emergency and out-of-network coverage in many hospitals in Western Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

To Find a Provider
For the name of the nearest BlueCard provider in the U.S. and other countries, call 1-800-810-BLUE (1-800-810-2583). Or visit the BlueCard Doctor and Hospital Finder Web site.
