how important it is to keep
your condition under control.
That’s why we want members
with diabetes to get the tools
and supplies they need.
All Medicare beneficiaries
with diabetes are eligible for
up to two free fasting plasma
glucose-screening tests each
year. In addition, all beneficiaries
are covered for diabetes
glucose monitors, test strips
and lancets.
If you are at risk for complications
from diabetes and your
doctor requests it, you also
are eligible for diabetes selfmanagement
training. The
supplies and training are
subject to the yearly Part B
deductible and 20 percent
coinsurance—both of which
may be covered depending on
which Blue Cross and Blue
Shield of Florida Medicare
supplement or Medicare
Advantage65 plan you have.
